My TOP MUST READ Books to see changes in YOUR life!


Okay this is a long overdue blog post. Friends are always asking me for my life changing or motivational book recommendations and yet I keep forgetting to come back to actually writing a duhhh.

So here it is, my list of books...

That have helped shape who I have become, have helped me find relief from anxiety, have helped me shake old limiting beliefs and well to not give such a f*ck and overall, have helped me to become a more happy, healthy and mindful person.

One thing I'll start by saying, is that you better get comfortable with the "self-help" section of the book store, cause that's where we are heading. Not all, but most come from this section. Oh but wait, you can just shop online so you could avoid that concern. But let me tell you, the "self-help" section is where the smart and open people go...soooo ya.

I am forever grateful for the first time I walked in, I stared at it for years, thinking only really, really sad people must visit this section.
Hmmm well except that I was sad, anxious, depressed, jealous and mad and I needed that section badly. I just wasn't ready to admit it - to myself and definitely not to anyone else. I didn't want to be that sad's where I insert the smack in face/ shameful emoji lol.

Well now I am here, writing this list to you and I am still standing! All of these booked helped me to become more educated and learn how to work through what I was going through. These are possibly things that I may never have learned if I hadn't listened to a few mentors and decided to jump in. Everything I have learned so far, I can take with me and use when needed.

I do keep reading new books so yes, I expect this list to only GROW. But so far, this is what I have for you.

You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero
Funny as heck, but extremely raw. Just what we all need.
Jen also has You Are A Money Making Badass which is awesome if you are interested in upping your money making game.

The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A F*ck by Mark Manson
You better be okay with swearing to read this one. Completely raw. He holds nothing back. Great for those struggling to let go of sh*t and to just give less of a f*ck about what people think of you.

Braving The Wilderness by Brene Brown
Such a good book about belonging, shame, vulnerability and just as the title says, stepping out into the wilderness - bravery. Her talks and books are what we need to start shifting and re-shaping our minds based on how we have been conditioned to think. If you haven't listened or read any Brene Brown before, she's simply amazing and a serious intellect. Definitely a key read + check out her TedTalks, click here to view a fave!

Judgment Detox by Gabrielle Bernstein
Judgment - we all do it and probably every day. But when you judge, ever notice how it makes you feel? Like after that high you get? You probably feel kinda low, maybe dirty. Then you start judging yourself for that judgment you made. Am I right?
This book is all about that and how to release judgments and learn not to judge yourself. This is truly a book EVERYONE should read. No joke...
She has some other books that are just as amazing, I would check out The Universe Has My Back as well.

The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy
Well i've seen him talk LIVE + I accidentally met him in person, such a nice guy! His books are slightly more geared towards business and success, but this book is a damn good one to read. Simple, yet something most of us don't think about. Everything we do compounds over time - eg. eating a meal at McDonalds every day will compound over time and as a result, you probably won't be feeling so good, your health will have declined.

This list wouldn't be complete without a little Tony Robbins!

His BIG book, like literally it's 544 pages (don't let that scare you, it's one you can read in pieces and pick up again and again) is one to have at home!

Awaken The Giant Within by Tony Robbins
Taking control of your life - mastering your emotions, your body, relationships, money's in here. Plus he includes so many life stories, which I love. Real examples, real experiences.

I didn't want to give a MASSIVE list, because well that would be overwhelming. So I think that if you are in the market for a new read, some changes in your life and you are OPEN to them, these are a great place to start. I feel confident about recommending them, because I've read them and they helped me so so much.

Now the one thing I will say is that sometimes you read a book or start a book and it just doesn't resonate with you. Then a year later you pick it up again and it so does! Not everything is going to interest you or be exactly what you need right now, but it could be a month from now. Keep that in mind before getting all judgey and frustrated with yourself or claiming that the book didn't help with a single thing! You also need to remain open minded, thats key!
